2017 Bucket List: 10 Places i’d love to visit

I’ve written and rewritten this bucket list ten thousand times. Okay, many times. Fine, more than once. Thing is, I get so excited and overdo it then end up asking myself why I didn’t just post a picture of a map of the world on Instagram. Granted, narrowing down dream places to travel to is not the easiest but here we go.

Bucket List

My number one goal in 2017 is to travel within Africa. Hello motherland!

  • Lamu, Kenya

I’m a big fan of coastal life, culture, and history, and Lamu is the oldest Swahili settlement in East Africa, makes it a must-visit. Pure bliss. There are annual cultural festivals held on the island, sign me up!

  • Zanzibar, Tanzania

Endless blue skies, beautiful beaches, history, coastal life, food, food, food…The spice island just screams vacation! It’s no wonder Zanzibar is one of the leading travel destinations in Africa.

  • Rwanda

There is something about this beautiful country that intrigues me. Maybe it’s the green landscapes, the warmth of the people, the history, or just the fact that I can trek with gorillas haha. This would probably be my main motivation to join a gym. Kinyarwanda and French cannot and will not stop me! Swahili was recently added as Rwanda’s official language so I (we, if you speak Swahili) no longer have an excuse to not visit.

  • Ethiopia

The deep cultural roots of these beautiful people is what makes Ethiopia special in my opinion. It’s crazy beautiful too. The hottest place on earth, Dallol, is in Ethiopia. Plus, I’d love to visit the rock-cut churches at Lalibela.

  • Namibia

Super diverse and beautiful. Culture, nature, wildlife, and more. Think panoramic views and endless horizons as per their tourist site. Namibia soon come.

  • Zambia

Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls.

Tons of activities give you adrenaline rushes of a lifetime, one of the seven wonders of the world and home to the biggest New Year’s party in Africa-Vic Falls Carnival.

add all African countries to list.

  • Bali, Indonesia

Think Bali, think wellness and relaxation. Elephants, tropical rainforests, monkeys, rice paddies, beaches, temples. Did I mention beaches?

  • Amsterdam, Netherlands

Art, narrow streets, canals, museums, crazy nightlife. It’s safe to say there’s not a dull moment in Amsterdam. Also a great start point to backpacking around Europe.

  • Havana, Cuba

Colourful streets, history, music, cars.

  • Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Rio is full of life and colour and the Carnival.

  • Jamaica.

Because Jamaica.

If you have been to any of these places leave a comment below! What places are you dying to visit in 2017?

Well, that is my 2017 bucket list. I hope I’ll be able to cross off places from the list this coming year. Dreams are valid right. And nothing is impossible to those who believe.

Catch up on more posts here and here.

Happy New Year! Wishing you all a lovely year filled with happiness, and more adventure

Wonderful travel bucket list.I’ve been to Lamu and Zanzibar and both are definitely wonderful destinations. The scenery, culture and food…In Zanzibar,I stayed at Stone Town which is just like Lamu, ancient, beautiful buildings and narrow streets and food to die for.Only thing to be keen on in both towns is dressing due to religion.Find comfy, really decent but light clothes. The beaches are different though.

On my list for next year I have Rwanda,Ethiopia and Dubai.I hope to at least visit one of those places.

Happy new year and wonderful travels ahead
