Eyes on Thrilling Sagana

I recently went on a 20km hike organised by Passion for Adventures. It was a relatively easy hike, perfect for beginners. The hike was to cover Kiambicho Hill and get to Sagana Gorges. We passed through beautiful scenery changes, crossing River Sagana, and Kiambicho Hill in Murang’a.

Here is a peek into my experience.

Sagana Day Hike

We started off at Havila Resort in Sagana, crossing River Sagana on the skeleton bridge over to Murang’a County.

Passing through the scenic Kiambicho Forest, we summitted Kiambicho Hill where we got spectacular views of Mwea plantations and Murang’a town.

Although we did not get to visit Sagana Gorges, I would recommend the site.

Lunch was at Havila bush base and we crossed over to Havila Resort via raft.
